Emergent Learning

about us
I love school

Emergent Learning was started by Jody Robinson, a former teacher who has an innate desire to not only teach but a talent for bringing out the best in people. After four years of being in the classroom, Jody realized the huge benefit from providing children with personalized teaching and attention. So she has focused her efforts on individual and small-session tutoring with the result being Emergent Learning whose goal is to help children succeed by customizing lessons based on their specific needs.

What we all hope for is that children enjoy learning. At Emergent Learning, we help make that a reality by taking the time to tap into their interests, finding where their hidden strengths are. This then becomes the foundation of our instructional strategies which are tailored to those interests and needs. It also supports our philosophy to inspire students to become lifelong learners through enriching educational experiences.

Jody got her degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University. She taught fifth grade for four years at Oak Grove Elementary, a National Blue Ribbon School and Georgia School of Excellence. Jody resides in Candler Park with her husband, Ben and Golden Retriever, Murphy.
